Solar and electrical engineers for the Colombo district

KTronics' own engineers cover the whole Colombo district as everyday work from the office in Kelaniya, just across the Kelani river from the city: Colombo itself and Kotte, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia and Moratuwa, Kaduwela, Homagama and out to Avissawella. We design, install and look after rooftop solar, backup power, electrical installations, networks and CCTV for offices, commercial buildings, apartment blocks and houses — and every system we fit stays on our own monitoring platform after handover.

Work in the Colombo district

Colombo is the most built-up of the three Western Province districts, and the work reflects it. Offices and commercial buildings need rooftop solar under the Net Plus scheme, power factor correction where the bill carries demand charges, backup power that keeps the building working through a cut, and networks and CCTV that stay up. Homes in the suburbs — Nugegoda, Maharagama, Battaramulla, Piliyandala and the rest — need rooftop solar, a hybrid system for the power cuts, rewiring of older houses and CCTV they can check from a phone.

Towns we cover

The whole district, not a radius around the office. The towns below are a guide to where a survey is arranged as everyday work; if yours is not listed, it is still covered.

Which utility, and which clearance route

Two utilities bill premises in the Colombo district. LECO supplies parts of it; the rest is billed by Electricity Distribution Lanka, which took over the Ceylon Electricity Board's distribution areas in March 2026 and which most people still call the CEB. The capacity clearance for a new rooftop solar system follows the utility named on your bill: the EDLCare portal at edlcare.edl.lk for a CEB-area supply, or LECO's Solar PV Capacity Clearance System at solar.leco.lk for a LECO supply.

We prepare and submit the request either way; what we need is a photograph of both sides of the account holder's national identity card and a recent bill. A new system connects under the Net Plus scheme, the only scheme for new rooftop solar agreements since the Ministry of Energy's directive of 11 September 2026.

Registered, reviewed, and what we commit to

KTronics (Pvt) Ltd is registered in Sri Lanka under company number PV 124279. For solar work we are a Registered Solar PV Service Provider with the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority, number S00773, listed in the public register as "K Tronics (Pvt) Ltd". That registration covers solar PV work only, and it is a listing rather than an endorsement: the Authority does not recommend individual providers. Customers rate us 4.9 from more than 50 Google reviews.

Every device we supply carries a ten-year warranty that is our own undertaking, and under a maintenance agreement we respond to a reported hardware breakdown within six hours, attend site within three working days and, where we stock the part, aim to resolve within five working days — the same terms in Colombo as anywhere else we work.
